Status

A new potential security and/or personal data issue has been identified regarding the data captured by the devices using the current design, and a review of this is underway.   No other activities will be progressed until this has been closed off satisfactorily.    As a result, the original estimated completion timescale for the project is unlikely to be met.   The project is not flagged as Amber at this stage as there is no wider impact at this stage, but this will change if we do not have a satisfactory way forward identified  by the end of January.

Issue:

No resources have been identified for actual deployment of devices to sites.

Risk:

There is a risk that the investigation in to the potential issue noted under 'status' above, could result in a delay to project timescales, which in the worst case could result in a failure to deliver the key objectives of the project.

Next Steps:

• Investigate potential issue noted under 'status' above, then agree way forward.
• Assuming the potential issue is resolved satisfactorily, the we can progress with:
  • Planning to complete remaining deliverables (no date set for this yet, and sometime in October is estimated earliest date due to other priorities within the IoT team).
    • PIA
    • Completion of Lilee device builds.
    • Agree how devices will be deployed to site.
    • Establish the operational service including DR procedure.
    • Agreed plan for further service roll-out.
