Project update for USD Heads meeting 27 May 2014

• The project is to tender for a smartcard supplier of blank Mifare 4k Classic cards with magnetic stripe to work with the existing card production system from EMOS.  Project scope has been widened to include the supply of other card designs as needed (eg for retired staff), and to include maintnenance and repair of hardware/software.
• An SLA has been signed with EMOS to provide maintenance and repair for hardware/software for three years 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2017.  See documentation under the Other heading.
• A card suplier has been chosed based on mainly price and partly quality: see documentation under the Other heading. Streamline is the chosen supplier, based in Edinburgh. A card order for 10,000 cards placed and delivery is expected 23 May.  The unit card cost is 33% less than from the previous supplier.
