RAG Status

Red due to adjusted milestone for incorporating the compute nodes in the cluster.

Achievements in Last Period

  • Initial proof-of-concept node deployment configuration complete, now needs to scale up to full node count. Initial milestone estimate was 10th June, but this has been moved to 29th July due to scheduling requirements.
  • Network extension completed and in service
  • Backup capacity extensions ordered and installed

Issues and Risks

  • Priority for node build and service integration will be given to the large memory systems where demand is highest
  • Resource availability remains fragile
  • Additional storage specification has not yet been defined (Scope: Amber)

Next Steps

  • Deploy nodes with cluster operating system
  • Configure nodes in Grid Engine scheduler
  • Re-scoping HPC storage solution and implementation plans
