Agile Software Development - Survey Results
In July IS Applications ran a survey on the uptake of agile software development and agile techniques in Higher Education across the UK, America and Canada.
We posted the invitation on the UCISA PCMG mailing list and the EDUCAUSE Project mailing list in and were delighted to received feedback from 38 institutions - 21 in the UK and 17 in North America.
The analysis of the feedback is now complete and the results are available online at https://www.projects.ed.ac.uk/agile_survey_results.
The results show some intersting comparisons between the UK and North America on the extent of agile usage and which technques are most utilised.
Extracts from this survey were used in our successful interactive presentation at EDUCAUSE, in Anaheim California, on 17 th October. The presentation is entitled 'Darwin, finches and poker chips - an agile journey'.
Details are on the EDUCAUSE site at http://www.educause.edu/annual-conference/2013/darwin-finches-and-poker-chips-agile-journey
