Successful Start of Term for IT Services

Week 1 of start of term 2014 has been completed successfully with IT services generally running well through this busy period. Staff in Information Services and our business partner organisations have worked effectively to ensure that even those IT services with known issues have continued to deliver a good services for students and staff over the critical start of term. IS Applications would like to thank colleagues for their  engagement with the process this year and for their contribution to the delivery of smooth running and stable IT services.

Simon Marsden, the Director of IS Applications stated:

"We've have had the best start to an academic year that I can remember – our services have worked really well through what is always a difficult time. I want to say thank you to all of your for the work that has gone into making the start of year run so smoothly. Week 1 and a referendum - great stuff, great people!"

With the successful completion of week 1 for Start of Term 2014, the Information Services Special Change Advisory Board (CAB) process is now at an end for this session. Lisa MacDonald stated on behalf of the IS CAB:

"We had a very successful start of year which was partly down to being able to have visibility of all changes to essential services, so I thank you on behalf of  the IS Special CAB for your cooperation."

The IS Special Change Advisory Board (CAB) will also be reviewing how the process ran this year so if you have any feedback please let us know either via Twitter https://twitter.com/@uoe_isapps or by email to David Smyth the Head of Production Management in IS Applications at David.Smyth@ed.ac.uk
