Achievements in Last Period
- Project Board met 12/10/16, and discussed outcome of discussions between Gavin McLachlan and David Argyle; David chaired the meeting and outlined options, recommending that the contract be awarded to Supplier 1; this proposal was discussed by the Project Board and supported.
- Award recommendation report was completed w/c 24/10/16 and signed off by Procurement and the Head of School.
- Award and reject letters were issued to Suppliers on 26/10/16 - this is a significant step forward for the project.
Issues
- The delay reaching a decision and the additional effort spent on protracted discussions has resulted in more budget being used than was anticipated to reach this point; the budget needs to be addressed in discussion with the Project Board.
Next Steps
- Agree revised timeline and milestones.
- Agree project governance with Head of School.
- Arrange meetings with successful supplier to discuss expectations of relationship with University, implementation, and contract negotiations.
- Review risks with Project Board.
- Review budget and resourcing.
The project current status is AMBER; due to the delay to reaching the decision and the additional effort spent getting there - despite the award of contract being agreed - this should move to GREEN next month.
