Scheduling
Notes from the last month.
Development is underway and good progress is being made.
- A few small bug fixes and improvements to administration. In Test
- Al Course Organiser or a Course Secretary (CO/CS) can add users. In Test
- There will be a Show Me My Courses button on the course search page. In Test
- Enhanced linking between Learn and Media Hopper Replay so that the CO/CS does not have to search for their course to create the link between the two systems.
- Better audit for CO/CS.
- Admin will get improved room management to support the quickly changing estate.
- Admin will also get an improved search functionality in their audit screens.
- Admin will get improved user administration to support adding larger numbers.
- Show me my course and CO/CS adding users were our larger items. To have them in test at this stage is very positive.
Issues and Risks
- As has been the case for the last year we are working with the FIN programme to ensure both these highest priority programmes deliver. As they are going through UAT at the moment there is an increased risk against developer time. We have mitigated this risk by block booking development time up until the end of July.
Next steps
- Continued development.
Reporting
Notes from last month.
The teaching and exam period ended on Friday the 24th of June. We asked for data snapshots from Echo360 and Learn as close after this date as possible.
- We received the complete Video Asset report from Echo360 on the last day in May.
- The Learn extract has been completed on the 5th of June.
- We have the necessary data to progress with the End of Year report.
- We will have support from Development and Service Management to create our updated dashboards in the next period.
Issues and Risks
- No additional risks.
Next Month
- End of year reporting dashboards.
Data and Access
Notes from last month.
Echo360 has previously stated that they expect the ‘Bulk Admin’ features to be accessible via the API endpoints in Q1/Q2 of 2020.
- Dates for this are still not clear. We are pushing echo360 for a clearer timeline.
- We are also asking echo360 whether they can handle the deletion of users on our behalf.
- Currently, administration of users is done on a one by one basis within the administration dashboard. Although our access to the service is controlled via the VLE and Single Sign On we will require the bulk administration features to handle deletions in a more manageable way for the service team.
- Deletion of content crated pre Jan2019 has a 2-year retention as opposed to the 18 month retention for content created Jan 2019 onwards.
Issues and Risks
- No additional risks.
Next Month
- Continue work to ensure we have appropriate plans in place for user administration, and that those plans mesh well with our deletion of content plans.
Transfer to BAU
Notes from last month.
- We have planned out the communication timeline for the summer taking us to the end of the programme. We will share this at the meeting.
- We will be running the Student Helpers initiative again this year. The advert is out for approval.
Issues and Risks
- No additional risks or issues.
