Replay Scheduler Deployment
-
The new Replay Scheduler service has had a stable performance with no outages.
-
The launch of Replay Scheduler to support the introduction of the new policy has gone well. Replay Scheduler has coped with demand and all opt-out preferences received, have been actioned.
-
During the start of term, we have seen a normal and manageable number of support calls coming through. The majority of these have been straightforward questions concerning the ins and outs of the new service.
-
Anecdotal feedback from Schools, gathered from the Academic User Group of 15 January, suggests that initially the introduction of policy and the automatic recording of all lectures in Media Hopper Replay enabled rooms has gone smoothly. However, some Schools reported they were aware that academic colleagues still had concerns about automatic recording of lectures and consequently we would anticipate there could be additional opt-outs in the coming weeks.
Student Helpers
- The Student Helpers initiative ran successfully for one week with two teams covering Central and Kings Buildings.
- The main resource for the student Helpers was a new flyer that explained the Opt-Out process to staff.
- As per previous successful Helpers weeks there was several instances where the Helpers provided first response to issues. These issues were mainly audio based.
This project will now be closed. MLE005 Transition Project has already been set up to carry out the implementation work required for phase 3 of the Programme.
