| Work begins to upgrade MyEd service |
Work began on Monday 22 October to upgrade the MyEd Service.
While the work proceeds, IDM updates to both the existing and new MyEd services have been halted. This will mainly affect new applicants to the university who cannot be granted access to MyEd to follow the progress of their applications. New applicants are instead being directed to Euclid, bypassing the usual MyEd channels.
The new service will become LIVE at 8am on Tuesday 30th October. |

| Performance issues resolved. |
Bill Lee issued his final summary:
This week the team has identified the individual cache (IEntityGroup) that is responsible for the large performance improvement we saw last week. We believe that differences in the number of organisational hierarchy groups in Test (930) and Live (1020) explain why it wasn't possible to originally reproduce the issue on Test. The IEntityGroup cache has been increased to a maximum of 10,000 items and other cache sizes increased to reasonable values. Subsequent loading testing suggests these are suitable for the Live dataset. |

Members of the project team have continued to work on issues uncovered during pre-LIVE load-testing. Assistance has been drafted in from other IS applications staff and from UNICON. The area causing the issues has been narrowed down and a final diagnosis is expected on Friday afternoon. |
