Issues were encountered during the repointing of the Dev application to the new eFIn Dev database/server, this meant that the project did not progress as planned during the Project Manager's leave and the planned repointing milestone date was not met. The developer's impending leave will further delay this stage of the project. The project has now been re-baselined with the relevant resources and revised milestone dates agreed to deploy to the Test environment w/c 08/04/13

Weekly update w/c 25/02/13 |
- Peer testing was significantly delayed by issues with the Dev environmnent resulting from the eFin upgrade project. The environment was frequently unavailable or inaccessible.
- Peer testing finally completed on Wednesday (a week behind schedule) with just two issues requiring re-work (both now completed & re-tested).
- Build documentation (SDD, build test plan etc) now complete.
- The application can now be re-pointed to the new eFin database and the build sign-off completed.

- Catch-up meeting held with business rep last week to re-start the project after the festive break
- Build work is ongoing and seems to be on-track
- The impact of the eFin upgrade project was discussed, but it was felt that the impact should be minimal if that project stays on track as we will be deploying to Test as they are finishing.

- Developer is on leave
- Finance reps have reviewed the sample JAMS user interface and given positive feedback
- Meeting held with FIN083 eFin upgrade project to determine how the projects should work alongside an another in the Dev/Test environments. FIN078 work on the Test infrastructure will be suspended for the meantime. This does not affect the development work which can continue as currently but the Dev environment will need to be repointed to the new Dev database early in 2013.

- The developer has been on leave this week so no build work has taken place
- Catch-up meeting held with Finance reps to clarify outstanding design queries: -
- FInance confirmed that MyEd channel not required
- Finance confirmed that journal money totals should be the total of all the debit values
- Finance confirmated that there is an ongoing issue with the journal files produced by the live WPM gateway
- Garry to chase up origins of manual files so that the drop-off zone set-up can be finalised

- New project estimation undertaken - 147 days (versus approved budget of 121 days) - most likely is 125 days. This has been discussed with the Programme Manager is now checking the programme budget to see if the extra days can be made available.

- Outstanding items must be complete by the time the developer returns from leave on 22nd October.

- Further design work has taken place this week. The design is proving to be more involved than originally anticipated and additional time will be needed to complete this. Project Manager to reschedule resources when Resource Manager back from leave next week.
- Outstanding questions regarding the design are still sitting with Finance, these are being chased up.
- Initial discussions between the Developer and Dev Tech have taken place, this will allow the technical documentation to be drawn up.
