Feedback from Science and Engineering after demo

'After several years of faithful service the EBIS fault reporting system is about to be retired. A younger, smarter system is about to be launched .

The new system will be web based and should provide a better system in terms of ease of reporting with more drop down options than ever before.

Unexpected system issues have been encountered after the upgrade to 21.3.  Our service supplier Mass are scheduled to be on-site 26th May to further investigate, as they cannot re-create them

  • As a result of a teleconference call with Martin Matt, the following observations were noted
    • Martin identified an issue regarding the team not being assigned to the work request – and will forward a fix.
    • Martin commented that the SLA’s previously set up within version 21.2 did not appear to be functioning correctly, although newly created SLA’s appear to be functioning correctly.

Archibus upgrade

EST086 Archibus Upgrade

Dev 23-Apr

  • completed as expected on Thursday 23-Apr

Test 24-Apr

  • Test still ongoing at 5pm on Friday
  • Dev Tech waiting for scripts before can complete the work and run through the process again - scripts arrived for EST086 first thing 28-Apr
  • David McN will let us know when Test will be available, 2 scripts have to be applied first.
  • Then implementation plan to be reviewed tosee if ok

EST080 Governance

Geoff discussed Governance with David and Colin on Friday and agreed Colin, David, Maureen and Geoff will have monthly meetings. Rachel is arranging the meetings with them all.

Geoff did not want to come to our weekly meetings, but likes the minutes and documents etc that we do for Estates

 The decision to utilise the Archibus based application was arrived for a number of reasons;

 The strategic decision has been taken within Estates and Buildings that Archibus is the solution to assist mange the Estate related property
