Team Meeting 21/11/13
Attending
Ross, Donald, Stephen, John, Ana, Morna, Alex, Adam
Provisioning
Morna will set up a meeting to discuss the provisioning design document(s)
Staffmail Migrations
Donald migrated several test accounts and then Heather's acount, apparently successfully.
We need to test some more staffmail users ( Scott and Graeme may volunteer) but also to work out which of the two possible ways of handling staffmail users' calendars is best.
However the work on staffmail user migrations was agreed on 14/11/13 to be limited at the moment to proof of concept so we won't proceed with this at the moment.
Donald will add the latest version of the migration scripts to source control.
Script demonstrations
Donald demonstrated the migration scripts to service management users and this went very well.
Service management will now take part in the next pilot migrations, where possible.
Donald has a list of suggested amendments to make to make the scripts more usable.
Exchange Migrations
We will return to troubleshooting existing known issues.
Donald will list the known migration issues and associated workarounds.
Alister will return next week and will pick up this work strand again,
John reported that techman are ready to be migrated as our next pilot user group.
The meeting felt that we should aim to migrate all IS Applications staff as the first "real" group.
Timings
There has been no time to further investigate timing/performance of migrations.
TEST infrastructure
UNIX and Architechture have complered their work on the TEST infrastructure.
Donald and John will set up TEST ready for Salford Consultant.
Morna will liaise with Salford to get the consultant to confirm he can access
Legacy Domains
There was some discussion about how to handle these. It was agreed it would help to understand the extent of the problem. John will run a report to find out all users who have associated miscorp.ed.ac.uk and uun.ed.ac.uk type addresses.
Free/Busy Calendar issues
John will set up the three new AD subgroups and aim to be able to propagate these by next Friday.
