RAG Status: Amber

Activity since last update:

• Telephony Solution developed and submitted for approval (approval expected ASAP).
• Tier 1 staff recruitment in progress.
• Go day Telephony/Desktop support secured.

Planned

• Process walkthrough meeting to ensure operations will be streamlined on day.
• Deploy phones to call centre site.

Key Risks

• As a result of small numbers of College staff, there is a risk of large call queues which could lead to complaints and ultimately reputational damage - It is recommended that this is accepted as there is very little can be done under the circumstances.
• This and other risks as detailed in last update are currently being reviewed by owners – response expected on Monday.

Issues

• Known issues with Euclid performance and lack of volumetrics for design of telephony solution - contingency in place for both and will be monitored; formal acceptance by Uni would be appreciated.

There is a further business level risk that surrounds newspapers/media negatively reporting on UoE clearing and the wider admissions approach/policy. This apparently happens every year with or without clearing and I’m told the press office are primed to respond. It does not affect the material outcome of the project but I felt I should mention it.
