Report by Colin Watt for Sep 2019

Achievements in Last Period

  • One area which is not going to use QMP after the end of September - this has required the legacy platform to remain rather than migrating this community; decommissioning to take place following the change freeze.
  • It was agreed at the DSOR 29/08/19 that the project cannot yet close due to issues which have come up in the period post deployment. Closure milestone date moved to 31/10/19.
  • Temporary fix in place for the issue when running QMP in kiosk mode; a permanent fix is expected to be scheduled following the change freeze.
  • The emailing from assessments issue has been recognised as a known issue by Questionmark: they have proposed to resolve this with an upgrade to the application; it has been agreed that this upgrade be carried out by Questionmark but would need to be scheduled for the Christmas period and would be in service.

Issues

  • There remain two issues preventing project closure; there is a plan to resolve both of these (one within the project, the other in service).

Next Steps

  • Agree obstacles to project closure removed.
  • DR testing.
  • Deployment checklists completed.
  • Decommissioning of legacy QMP platform.

Work-stream 5: Reporting function available  31-Oct-2019
Project Closure  15-Nov-2019

RAG Status: GREEN

Report by Kevin Hone for Sep 2019

Achievements in Last Period

  • Agreement was reached that work-stream 4: Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Integration would be removed from the scope of the project.
  • A Change Request was raised and subsequently approved to move the milestone for work-stream 5: Reporting from the end of September to that at the end of October.

Issues

  • There remains no clear date as to when the Reporting API from LinkedIn Learning will be made available thereby preventing and UoE Development. Continuing pressures have been placed on the 3rd party for more information. In response, an invitation to join a pilot scheme has been offered and is presently under consideration by the Business.
  • The lack of detail in the form of a finalised interface specification means that development resource cannot be secured to undertake build work.

Next Steps

  • A business decision has to be taken as to whether a readily available CSV file could be used for reporting or accept the invitation to participate in the pilot. This is the one remaining piece of work that will either lead to project closure or further potential extension.
