  • Blogs Solr Search - development complete, awaiting infrastructure work to commence testing.
  • Agreement with Project Sponsor that DOOO to be removed from this project and a new project will be created for setup and pilot of DOOO.

Achievements in Last Period

  • Call with QM took place on 04/07/19 to review the checklist for Go / No-Go decision. Decision to proceed.
  • Change submitted to GoCAB and approved w/c 08/07/19.
  • SSO verified as working on Test, although an attribute not being handled correctly by the QM application.
  • QMP data updated on 22/07/19 and the application was handed back to LTW at the end of the day for checking. There turned out to be an issue with the tenant name that we believe the supplier should have identified in advance of carrying out the work; this led to a delay as some of the work had to be redone. The new application was handed over to users on Friday 26/07/19.
  • The Project team have continued to attempt to improve the attribute issues on SSO, but there may need to be some short term workarounds to enable exams to be completed.

  • Phase Two plans for the template, checklist, automation and terminology work streams detailed;
  • Continued user experience activity and engagement ongoing;
  • Continued focus on training requirements for users;
  • Continued School migration and mapping;
  • School accessibility review completed for all Phase One Schools;
  • Planning for replacement FTE onto the project team underway;
  • Phase Two planning stage begun;

 

Issues

  • Automation work stream slipped into Phase Two due to resourcing availability as a result of the Phase One deliverables which need to be delivered before automation can be undertaken.  This work stream will be defined with support from the College Learning Technologists once roll over has been completed (circa. June/July);
  • Template/Checklist and Terminology milestones slipped as a result of the additional work required on the template.

 

Next Steps

 

  • Complete the Phase One School migrations and prepare School reports;
  • Complete Phase Two planning;
  • Complete recruitment for replacement FTE

Achievements in Last Period

  • Migration process started on 8th July and the process ran as per plan. Blackboard handed over Live SaaS environment ahead of schedule on 12th July. Configuration and testing carried out from 14th to 16th July and DNS switch over to Cloud happened successfully on 17th July. Some issues were found which were documented on a Known Issues page and communicated to the users.
  • New Learn MyEd channel made live.
  • Development of BI data feed complete.
  • Data Retention Policy drafted and sent for consultation

  • Complete testing of BI data feed and make it live - not on the critical path
  • Publish Data Retention policy.
  • Phase 2 - Analysis and design of how the Data Retention Policy can be implemented.

Issues

  • Use of Development Technology/Software Development resource remains a concern should unforeseen issues lead to conflicting priorities of work.
  • Data security concerns raised with InfoSec over LinkedIn Learning's data security policies.
  • LinkedIn Learning are unlikely to share detail on their reporting API until towards the end of August.

Next Steps

  • For work-stream 2 - Seek confirmation of Build complete.
  • For work-stream 2 - Seek confirmation of UAT complete and issue ASOR eMail.
