• Phase 2 - Blogs Archive and deletion development complete and testing preparation work in progress.
• Domain of One's Own contract paperwork in progress with third party supplier and Legal service.
• Blogs Search technical options agreed, R&D phase underway.

Issues

• Delay to Phase 2 of the project as Funnelback has proved to be unsuitable technology for Blogging - Issue created.

Next Steps

• Complete Test setup of IDM service and Test accounts for start of Blogs Archive & Deletion testing.
• Blogs Search R&D stage complete and a plan agreed.
• DOOO paperwork complete

Achievements in Last Period

• No actual achievements in the progression of the showstopper issue so PM asked QMP, ITI, DevTech and LTW if they could commit to a meeting, either physically or digitally, to try and overcome the issues together. An additional skype meeting was therefore held 26 Feb 19 with DevTech, LTW, ITI and QMP all on the call with ITI making changes as requested by QMP at this meeting. Issue however is still not resolved and LTW have absolutely no access to Test now.
• Discussed as a team what would happen if we can’t get the issue fixed. See meeting notes of 27 Feb 19
• LTW confirmed that they will not be taking GLO forward. He has strongly advised users that they won’t migrate the GLO content and confirmed that they are binning Flash work altogether and moving to Learn quizzes instead.
• LTW have gone as far as they can with documentation and training – they need a Test site to complete this work

Issues

• QMP are continuing to investigate issues however we have now lost all access to Test. ITI  are asking what QMP are actually trying to do to see if they can help resolve the access issue, rather than make blind changes, but are not getting this information from QMP.
• We agreed at the last catch up meeting to try and let QMP resolve issues first week in March and if no joy LTW would contact them to ask about how to take this forward. The options are

1. Start again
2. QMP to come on site
3. A combination of options 1 and 2

• Mark has emailed QMP PM 1 March 19 to take this forward. He has asked that if there is no progress by 8 March that we stop the current work and restart a new install with QMP on site saying that this would be more productive than the current arrangements, plus there’s been so many config changes made to the TEST service that it would be difficult to mimic the current settings when deploying the LIVE environment. Next Steps

• Managed access issue resolved by QMP so LTW can complete external UAT
• Load testing and DR testing – Mark F has said that if Mark D decides the dates he will be able to set up from LTW end

Rag commentary:

The project has encountered a showstopper issue during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).   The issue relates to an error with the 'Manage Access' page meaning that we cannot give users access to their content without that functionality working.  This is delaying progress with UAT and the supplier QMP is currently working with us on resolving the issue.  However current changes to the config requested by QMP has meant that we have now lost all access to the Test environment. We have agreed that QMP will have until 8 March to resolve the issues and have suggested the following options if there is no resolution:

1. Start again (as there is worry that all the changes made been so many config changes made to the TEST service that it would be difficult to mimic the current settings when deploying to LIVE)
2. QMP to come on site
3. A combination of options 1 and 2 (this is the preferred option)

LTW have followed this up with QMP 1 March and are awaiting their reply.

Achievements in the last period

• Continued design workshops for the Learn Foundations template to produce prototypes for testing;
• Continued user experience activity and engagement;
• Communications & engagement at campus and School level (KB, Central and Holyrood completed);
• Continued focus on training requirements for users;
• ‘Tree Jack’ Analysis completed;
• Communications Manager recruitment underway.
• User experience and playback session for Informatics held with next user experience activity underway.
• Phase One Milestones re-visited and updated according to the project tasks and structure.

Issues

• Usability test cases to be written and testing to be undertaken throughout February did not occur due to the milestones being re-visited;
• Automation work stream slipped into Phase Two due to resourcing availability as a result of the Phase One deliverables which need to be delivered before automation can be undertaken;

• Template prototype to be finalised and structure signed off;
• Checklist prototype to be finalised and structure signed off;
• Terminology to be finalised and signed off;
• Continued user experience activity and engagement ongoing;

Achievements in Last Period

• Updated plan, estimates and milestones submitted to WIS, approved.
• Design and Build work on custom UoE building blocks started.
• Project Board established and first meeting took place.
• Data Cleansing analysis work completed, consultation ready to be sent out to stakeholders.
• Test Migration preparation ongoing.
• Contingency plan options presented to the board and the recommended option is being actioned - new project kicked off that will include Learn application upgrade and patch to Oracle database on the existing physical server.

Issues

Two resourcing issues on the project. Both have been managed, however these will not be closed till the project is complete.

• Issue 1 - Required number of software development resources not available to the project. This has been managed with discussions with Software Development team and resources have been assigned to all tasks, except one where contractor resource is being considered.

• Issue 2 - Software Development Resource Conflict. This has been presented to the WIS who have noted this.

Next Steps

• Contingency plan - Complete planning stage of Project TEL060.
• Continue development work of custom building blocks and data feeds.
• Execute Data Cleansing plan.
• Start data migration from Live database for Test Migration.
• Continue preparation for Test Migration.
