QMP Upgrade (17/18)
Compliance
Milestones
Rag commentary:
Project is RED as the 'Manage Access' page error is a showstopper because we can't give users access to their content without that functionality working. QMP are working on this at present. LTW cannot go back to the community to discuss revised Live dates until the managed access showstopper issue is resolved

Report by Sue Woodger for January 2019
Achievements in Last Period
- A new QMP project manager has been appointed
- Weekly meetings have been set up with QMP
- LTW has agreed that deployment as follows
- Complete Test by resolving the external user access issue and allow UAT to complete and thereby sign Test off
- Resolve high availability groups and reinstall test with these in place first (high availability groups need to be in place before an install)
- Move directly to Installing high availability groups on Live then completing the live install in March so not to lose momentum with QMP - but we do not intend to make v6 live to users until July when exams are completed (as advised by LTW, DevTech). V6 will be ring-fenced to LTW only and they will continue with the current v5.7, open to their user base, in Live until July when it will be replaced with v6 (they are on separate VMs). We expect to suspend the project from the end of March until July assuming there are no further delays.
Issues
- High availability groups: QMP are in the position of installing the HA groups on Test and will then re-install v6 (as high availability groups have to go in first). The issue is with the database ODBC connection string. QMP have asked for a description of the current setup on the forwarding rules on the balancer to do with the SSL offloading, and the forwarding rules on internal and public facing IP before they can complete this.
Next Steps
- Managed access issue resolved by QMP so LTW can complete external UAT
- Load testing and DR testing – Mark F has said that if Mark D decides the dates he will be able to set up from LTW end
- TEST & Acceptance signoff
- LTW documentation tasks to start when TEST signed off
- Deployment checklists completed
- Handover
- Live install
