Report by Sue Woodger for August 2016

Achievements

  • Civitas onsite 8-12 August for data validation
  • ODL tutor open session held on 12 August but poorly attended due to time of year

Issues

  • Project board rescheduled for 12 September (from 23 August) due to getting all parties together
  • Learn data validation was complete but a further issue was found when looking at the data from shared courses  - it was found that some of the ODL courses have used manual enrolments in Learn (even for official courses) - the original Learn extract did not contain any data pertaining to these manual enrolments so a new extract was created and sent to Civitas.
  • Issues still with data protection and PII (Personal Identifying information)  - see next steps

Next steps

  • Governance decisions are required to define the scope and appetite for future phases. Project board meeting is on 12 September where an options paper is being presented. it is unlikely we will get agreement for non-anonymised data at present so we will therefore use the anonymised validated model to work with ODL academic teams in October and November to work through their data to see if there is sufficient evidence for using PII. Findings will be presented back to governance group at the ned of November.
  • Learn and Moodle data validation to be complete by end September
  • SITS data validation to be complete by end October

Milestones: are dependent on the scope being finalised.  Interim milestones have been taken out and will be revisited once scope of the project is resolved.

RAG – will continue as RED until we can resolve the PII issue as we cannot plan until it is resolved

Report by Chris Konczak for August 2016

Achievements in Last Period

  • Outstanding JIRAs completed and signed off.
  • Deployment to LIVE complete
  • Deployment sign off achieved
  • All have contributed to and are happy with the closure report. Closure sign off is waiting on the final TAD review, and is to be submitted to WIS for final approval on 09/09/16

Issues

  • Closure date moved from 24/08/16 to 09/09/16 due to JIRAs raised after deployment that required work, TAD updates required for closure, and buisness lead on annual leave on original closure due date. This has moved the project into AMBER. These have been resolved and the closure approval
  • Due to more JIRAs being raised and more devolopment time required, the project required an extra 6 days effort overall, hence cost is AMBER

Next Steps

  • Achieve Closure

Report by Sue Woodger for August 2016

Achievements

  • Following agreement on how to take project forward the Project brief was resubmitted to WIS 5 August and approved
  • Sponsor agreed that Geir would identify the security issues and Pat Fleury’s team would implement the fixes

Issues

  • Only issue has been that we could not book resources for continuing build and testing until we knew when security fixes would be complete. We can now set up the Build review for 12 September and revised milestones will be submitted to WIS this week

Next Steps

  • Build signoff set for 12 September
  • Move into Test
  • Apply to CAB for approval to put live

Project is Amber as revised milestones will only be submitted to WIS this week.
