Achievements in Last Period

• UAT commenced and being tested by Moodle Service team
• A number of JIRAS have been raised and resolved / retested 

Issues

• UAT start was delayed as there was issue with MOODLE Test environment this was investigated by Moodle Service team and resolved by Application Management by completing a database restore
• A number of JIRAS have been raised due to quality of data in IDM Test and impacted by LDAP sync job not having been run on Test environment by ITI for a number of months this has caused further delays to testing also Business lead also on annual leave
• Grouper Permissions issue highlighted that test users all require Sys Admin access to view folders and will impact users in Live environment. A workaround has been proposed by Service Management. A problem record has been raised for investigations into the upgraded version of Grouper to understand permissions issue.
• Review completed for impacts of delays on project budget additional 13 days required to complete project
• Revised milestones proposed to Project Sponsor, Programme Manager and Business Lead however due to concerns around data quality and progress out with projects for changes to Course code and Grouper concerns Project Sponor has placed a halt to UAT and proposed milestones not approved. Meeting being held with Enterprise Architect, Service Management and project team including Project Sponsor on 7th April to discuss way forward.
• A further issue has been encountered with the MOODLE Test environment which is being investigated by the Service team, therefore the testing team have had to use a workaround to continue testing

Next Steps

• UAT to recommence, complete and sign off Acceptance
• Deployment Checklist
• Preparation for deployment – checklist, service alert etc.
• Deployment to Live

The project status is RED due to the UAT being placed on hold and action plan agreed and in place.

Achievements

• Iteration 2 materials have been delivered 
• The milestones for Analytics configuration and Deploy analytics were withdrawn as the SME and Lead Editor believed that the current analytics delivered what they required. They did mention that it was difficult to evaluate without student data and they will have better feedback once more data comes through students' use. However any updates would come under future improvements (no development within this project) and will be captured in the closure report.
• Lead editor was able to finally confirm that technical issues were all ironed out and the milestone closed (technical issues milestone)
• Lead editor has confirmed that iteration 3 has started but approach has changed from lectures to topics

Issues

• There were delays to iteration 3 starting as there was no decision on which materials were going into iteration 3
• Although an initial topic 'Carbon in Oceans' has been started there is still no decision on what other topics are to be included in iteration 3.
• Tom Challands is creating the materials for iteration 3 and his contract was expected to finish at the end of April but this has been extended to the end of July and he will be developing iteration 3 materials within this time. This means that the iteration 3 delivery will be delayed which will impact on the closure date. PM has submitted a request for extending the project and will discuss with project sponsor when she returns from leave. However this discussion will opened up to discuss the confidence is realising iteration 3. Until the discussions have taken place and a decision reached milestones have been  temporarily moved out within this year without extending timescales.
• Feedback survey has been delayed as author (Amy Woodgate) is waiting on SME’S supplying feedback to update the forms. Milestone has been delayed until 18 April

Next steps

• Feedback on updates to the existing surveys to be sent to Amy so she can update the surveys
• Agreement reached on iteration3

Project is AMBER as current milestones are at risk as current projections from iteration 3 means we will have to extend the project. Discussions to be held with project sponsor on her return from leave

Achievements in the last period

• The BRD has been drafted and circulated for sign off.
• Although slightly out of sync Software Development have started the analysis of the new version and the SDS is being updated.  This is helping to keep us on track as we get the BRD signed off.

Issues

• Other than a delay in getting the BRD signed off due to Annual Leave and illness we are on track.  We do not anticipate this will delay the plan as a whole.

Next steps

• We will sign off the Analysis and Design phases of the project.
• We will refresh DEV and install the updated version of Moodle.
