STU257 Privacy Impact Assessment Tool

Achievements this period

• System Configuration 
  • Assessment templates have been created for both the DPIA and the Research based templates
  • Adjustments are currently on-going to incorporate 
    • feedback from extended consultations 
    • improve the general process low 
    • improve the risk management process 
  • Email templates have been re-designed to incorporate uoE branding 
• A series of external consultations have taken place with representatives from 
  • School of Science and Engineering 
  • Data Champions 
  • GASP
• User Instructions have been enhanced to  incorporate changes to the Assessment templates 
• EQIA has been commenced 

Issues

• The technical configuration of the system with regards SSO and email has been delayed as a result of the technical lead being absent through illness.  The project is currently assessing whether the live roll-out can progress without either or both being in place 
• Additional time has been taken to complete a fully functioning Assessment template and associated process.  As a result, the project sponsor has approved that the live deployment will be delayed by two weeks to w/c  24th June 2019

STU260 CAM  Degree Finders - Options Appraisal

Achievements this period

• For the road map to replace the legacy UG & PG Degree finders: a number of options have been discussed within IS Apps and initial estimates made of the funding required to deliver each of the options. Each of these options has had input from IS and a meeting is set up on the 24th June to discuss the proposals in detail with CAM.

• For the work to extend the life of the legacy UG & PG Degree finder : an IS Apps developer is doing the system design of the security strengthening changes

Issues

• End of Planning tasks delayed - task now handed over to new PM - Chris Konczak to complete planning 

Next Steps

• Review the planning documents and amend to include the options. Circulate for approval.
• Get estimates for the Security strengthening work and book IS Apps resources to deliver the changes before end of July 2019

STU264 CAM UG & PG Degree Finders Small Enhancements

• Milestone and budget approved
• UAT sign off on the two remaining JIRAs achieved
• Deploy to LIVE on 14/05/2019 completed successfully
• Closure report has been written and to be circulated.

Issues

• Small bug fix required post go-live, this has been delayed due to developer annual leave, but is now being progressed with CAM. This has delayed deployment sign off, but looking to achieve this by 05/06/2019.

• DSOR signoff to be achieved
• Closure report approved and project closure agreed

• Final solution demonstration and hands on afternoon session held.
• On-going evaluation of all 3 proposed solutions.
• Disability Information Officer contacted regarding accessibility testing.

• Budget approval for the project remains outstanding.  This is being escalated.

• Project Brief raised and approved.
• On-going evaluation and preferred solution identified.
• Engage with Procurement regarding process to purchase preferred solution.
• Raise paper regarding project budget and confirmation of availability.
