Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update
Commentary
Overall the STU Programme is RED because it is now confirmed that several projects will not complete within 17/18. . Several projects are RED or AMBER at this time.
STU252 - RED - need to agree change of scope and investigate workaround with IS Service Management
STU253 - AMBER - risk that the work cannot be completed in 17/18 hence AMBER.
STU257 - RED - change to milestones due to change in procurement approach. To complete in 18/19
STU258 - AMBER - milestones to be revised after consultations with vendor
STU260 - AMBER - milestones likely to change during planning process
STU262- RED - Delivery milestone delayed as testing not yet completed
STU263 - GREEN - Likely to complete in 18/19
It was hoped that the proposed project to provide free WIFI for Open Days would be superseded by a new JISC service. IS is now participating in the JISC pilot but finding this unsuitable, was unable to find an alternative solution in time to provide free WIFI for the June Open Day and that the 10 days earmarked as funding may not be sufficient to supply an alternative service. The portfolio manager has escalated within IS in order to find a way forward.

PlanThis project is to undertake the work noted in this proposal. The proposal estimated 10d of work, but it is now clear that this budget is insufficient enough to deliver a standalone solution for open wifi during open days, ITI planned to deliver open wifi using the JISC pilot service but this has not been achieved. Alternative solutions have been estimated to be of significant cost and there is no identified source of funding to deliver these, hence the project's status as RED.
