The Student services programme has 8 projects in progress (some of these with multiple work packages / phases).
The STU programme budget for 2012-13 was set at 1460 days at the mid-year review
Current STU out-turn for 2012-13 is estimated as 1680 days ( of which 1005 days (delivered) and 675 (estimate to complete this year))

AP23-041 Replace OLLIE and CUPID
Funded Planning Month Year Apr 2013 Delivery Month Year tbc ( in 2015) RAG Status GREEN | Plan This is the vehicle to deliver replacements for OLLIE and CUPID, an initial 93 days have been assigned to STU229 for the options appraisal and IS Apps work associated with enabling OLL credit students to be keyed into EUCLID. The shape of this future work is dependant on the outcome of the STU229 Options Appraisal, the requirements for OLLIE and CUPID could be dealt with separately and met via a procurement for a 3rd party system or via inhouse development or modification to existing systems. This project will need to deliver future procurements and implementations as required - this activity is likely to be spread over 2 years. Subject to the outcome of the options appraisal, the 2013-14 annual planning round and available funding from the project sponsor, the future profile of effort has been re-estimated as a multi-year project with place-holders for the potential spend over the next 3 years: 94 days in remainder of 12-13, then 400 days in 13-14 and 300 days in 14-15 (these estimates are just to aid resource planning in 2013-14 , and will be updated as a result of the decision from the options appraisal)

AMBER | Achievements in this period A new Project Sponsor has been appointed. The Project Manager, Programme Manager, Project Manager and the University Records Manager met. The meeting reviewed what progress had been made to date and discussed how this project should make progress. It was agreed that if possible, the project should review the testing carried out in October, carry out BOXI testing and proceed to a live deployment before the end of March, The Project Sponsor will investigate whether this preferred timescale is feasible and agree milestones with the Sponsor Outstanding Issues

Student Allocator is in build stage, the other work packages are at analysis / design stage. STU226 will deliver the critical elements required to enable personalised timetables to be available for Students for the Start of Semester 1 2013, including the Scientia Student Allocator module and integration to MyEd. 3 work packages have been split-out of STU226 to provide clarity to milestones : These are: STU226 - WP1 Timetabling : MyEd Personalised Web Timetables (budget 20 days) STU226 - WP2 Timetabling : Feed to Learn VLE (budget 80 days) STU226 - WP3 Timetabling : XML Data Feed for Schools ( budget 30 days) The overall budget for STU226 (incl. these work packages above) is now set to 445 days Estimates for this future work will be refined as analysis and design work progresses. RAG Status AMBER | Report by Maurice Franceschi for Feb 2013 Achievements in Last PeriodPhase 1b - Requirements sign-off Phase 2 A draft document outlining the options has been prepared, to be reviewed and discussed by Apps and SACS. The aim is to make a recommendation to OLL by w/c 11th Feb, so we can come to a final decision that week, by senior OLL management and IS amnagement. Issues Cost of options are all high, and resourcing of them in a single year unlikely. Next Steps

SSG002 Student Marketing Services Infrastructure Migration Category: Compliance Milestones
RAG Status AMBER | Report by Maurice Franceschi for Feb 2013 Achievements in Last Period A-Z and Maps UAT begun and expected to complete by 8th March. UG Prospectus UAT started 5th March. PG Prospectus Analysis and Design signed-off. Build expected to complete 8th March. Project re-planned to complete all UAT before Load Testing and DR. Issues The additional applications on Praline have been identified and will be dealt with by Support, probably as a small -scale project. The project is project to be over budget by 34 days. However, this includes effort that is part of SSG003 Enhancements so this correction wil be made once the effort is confirmed. Next Steps Complete UG UAT by time of next report. Issues Some of the SSG003 build has already been done by SSG002, as it made sense to do it with the other changes. So this effort is still to be reflected in project costs. Next Steps Complete UG Enhanecments Analysis and Design by time of next report. Get an early draft of PG Enhancements so we can be confident that the project budget is sufficient to do all the work.
