Achievements in Last Period 

• Documentation received for Single Sign on and Dev Tech resource assigned 
• New domain name confirmed by ITI
• Agreed that a mini TAD should be created - effort for set up and document is 1 day

Issues

• Business contact has advised that following workshop on 31/10/2019 they are not ready for SSO to be set up in Live, date for when set up required is to be confirmed by business team
• Revised closure milestone to be agreed

• Confirmation of SSO date to be provided
• SSO set up completed
• Completion report completed and project closure approval

RIS007 PURE Upgrades v5.13 to 5.15

Achievements in Last Period 

• Upgrade Dev environment to Pure 5.15.2 completed
• Upgrade Test environment to Pure 5.15.2 and Java Upgrade completed
• Commence and completed UAT
• Prep for Cloud Portal - schedule meeting with Elsevier end of October / early November
• Go CAB approval
• IS Alert published

Issues

• UWP testing to be completed - this should not prevent deployment to Live
• RIS Business Lead advised there are a number of issues however they are happy to sign off and deploy with these issues as they have workarounds in place and application needs to move the next upgrade for some of these issues to be resolved by supplier. Business Lead is acceptance of any risk.
• For awareness the EASE upgrade project is deploying on 20th November however we don't expect any impact from reviewing with project manager for this project but will raise with Go CAB.
• Review budget as activity is reduced

Next Steps 

• Acceptance Sign Off
• Cloud Portal meeting with supplier 6th November
• Deploy Java and Pure v5.15.2-1 to Live scheduled 19th November 
• Deployment review sign off

RIS008 REF2021 Data Requirements Analysis

Achievements in Last Period

• The prototype development was completed using a trial version of WinAutomation
• Licence for WinAutomation purchased
• Meeting held with a representative from Core Systems, feedback incorporated into Options Paper
• Milestones replanned and approved

Issues

• There was a significant delay in feedback from Core Systems. Further distribution had been embargoed until feedback had been received. At the end of this reporting period feedback was received and some changes made. This delay resulted in the need to replan the milestones (see RIS Project Log Item 8). This impact of this is a delay to the implementation, this, in turn, is compensated by the reduced time and effort required to implement this solution.
• The time to develop the prototype was more than initially allocated resulting in the project requiring more budget. However, the prototype will significantly reduce the time need during the subsequent implementation project. This is recorded in the project log above.

Next Steps 

• Circulate Options Paper to a wider audience
• Move the project to closure

The project status is AMBER to highlight the delay in receiving feedback from Core Systems on the Options Paper. While this has now been resolved, the project manager would like this noted in the October report.

RIS011 Pure Upgrade v5.16 to v5.18

• TEST environment upgraded to v3.1 (auto-patching now in place)
• Agreement on changes to Shibboleth reached

• Milestones replanned to allow greater time for UAT and SSO changes

• Carry out UAT and sign off test upgrade
• Schedule LIVE upgrade with business partners and vendor
