Achievements in Last Period draft

• Initial Completion report drafted and issued to RIS team manager and Project Sponsor for review
• Dev tech resource engaged to review single sign on with supplier

Issues

• Remaining milestones have been agreed to be removed and earlier closure date by Project Sponsor however on submission to IS Applications Governance this was not approved as they have asked for review by  Production Management to have closure milestone agreed
• As Project Sponsor on leave this month initial review of closure report delayed in issuing out to wider project team for comment
• Dev Tech resource has still to contact Infonetica to confirm SSO requirements this is being chased

Next Steps

• Provision of single sign on information
• Completion report completed and project closure approval

The project status is AMBER as project closure report review delayed due to unavailability of key resource and also waiting for SSO information between Infonetica and Dev Tech resource. Revised milestone to be agreed for closure.

RIS007 PURE Upgrades v5.13 to 5.15

Achievements in Last Period 

• Pure 5.13.4 Live upgrade and Tomcat upgrade completed successful on 8th August
• Commenced prep work for Cloud portal
• Data refresh for Dev and Test completed from Live for next upgrade activity
• ROS Tables removed from Dev, Test and Live
• Java Upgrade and Pure 5.15.1 upgrade completed for Dev

Issues

• Deployment of 5.15.1 allows the RIS team to prep training with business users however as expected some issues encountered and not suitable for this version to be taken through test to live.
• Key issues is rendering of UI
• Revise dates for delivery to Test and Live dependent on availability of 5.12.2 code from Elsevier
• Submit revised milestones to WIS for approval

Next Steps 

• Upgrade Dev environment to Pure 5.15.2
• Upgrade Test environment to Pure 5.15.2 and Java Upgrade
• Commence UAT
• Prep for Cloud Portal

RIS008 REF2021 Data Requirements Analysis

Achievements in Last Period

• The remaining project milestones replanned at the start of the month. 
• The follow-up meeting with Core Systems team held and agreement reached on processes to be investigated for verifying historical data. This will involve building a prototype for capturing screen data from Oracle HR
• Bookings for next stages secured.

Issues

• Documents have not been circulated to a wider audience due to waiting on information form Core Systems
• Although some progress has been made this month, after the meeting with core systems some additional work will now be undertaken. The output of this investigative work will feed into the options paper. When this is completed, wider circulation will start.
• As this is taking longer, there is an increasing risk that the implementation time is decreasing.  Although not a direct risk to this project, a risk has been captured in the risk log. 

Next Steps 

• Complete investigation/prototype
• Update Options paper with outcomes
• Circulate BRD/Options Appraisal to wider stakeholders for comment
