Achievements in Last Period

• Project was suspended due to lack of Software Development resource
• Project was raised from High to Highest
• Project was unsuspended to recommence project delivery

 There are no issues to report at this stage.

Next steps

• Incorporate upgrade activities of PURE 5.12.2-1 into this project
• Dependency upon RIS003 continues to implement 5.12.1 through to 5.12.2 with UPM enabled
• Revise project plan with adjusted milestones

• PURE upgrade 5.12.1-4 has now been successfully deployed to LIVE

• The upgrade of 5.12.2-1 have been transferred to RES069 for the UPM

• PURE environments have been handed over to RES069

• Project Closure report has been approved by WIS

All issues within this project have now been resolved.

There are no next steps to take due to the project being closed.

RIS004  Worktribe Upgrades - Readiness for GDPR

• Worktribe 2.5 has been deployed into LIVE prior to the Change Freeze being invoked

• Interfaces have been repointed to VRS, E-Fin and HR Systems

• Project Closure activities have commenced

Issues

 There is one issue recorded which relates to the additional funding required in the next financial year, project is currently over expected 10 days budget for 18/19

Next Steps

• DSOR meeting scheduled for 13th September 2018
• Interfaces repointed and tested to VRS, E-Fin and HR systems
• PICCL for additional funding to be approved by Project Sponsor
• Project Closure

RIS005  Ethics Tool Procurement

• Procurement strategy has been developed

• Follow up Business requirements workshop held with the Project Team whereby requirements were clearly defined as desirable or mandatory

• Secondary potential supplier has been identified - epi-Genesys (Demo to follow)

• Project Brief was approved by WIS

• PICCL with revised timescales to acccomodate realistic procurement timescales

Achievements in Last Period

• Project suspended
• Business lead has agreed Project should be formally suspended while the RIS team evaluate the use of Power BI against the raw BI Data extract as alternative to the STU252 Star schema and BI Suite Universe
• Alternative technical solutions to apply org unit permissions to the BI Suite universe reviewed - none are operationally attractive
• Other project tasks on hold , pending outcome of discussion on scope and priorities
• Business lead has discusses priorities with the key business users at the operational group

Issues

• Open - No agreement on Scope change re. Org unit permissions
  • Initial proposal of providing no org unit data restrictions have been rejected by Business lead
  • Workaround explored with IS Service Management of applying row level permissions, but doesn't look like it would work for  IGMM and Roslin, and complex data structures with collaborative projects with multiple budgets for each Org unit

Next Steps 

• Agree suspension period and criteria for either withdrawing the project or reducing scope and completing the revised scope.
• Propose review within 3-months time by  end of Oct 2018 - Decision point for Business lead and Project sponsor

  • Re-plan with revised scope 
  • R&D to investigate other possible solutions for providing  IGMM and Roslin with their own data in an easy format to report against
  • Deliver remaining JIRAS incl STU252-52 (0.5d effort) 
  • UAT acceptance sign-off
  • Handover to BAU  - Confirm policy decision with IS Service Management re. IS L&UC RIS team access to Universe Designer 
    • propose limited access to Universe Designer for RIS team - so RIS can locally make some simple changes  eg.  rename data items and add 'tool-tip' descriptions of each object 
  • Deploy BI Suite Universe to LIVE, switch on daily package to refresh STAR schema in LIVE
