Programme Commentary
Overall RIS programme is progressing with the following projects : -
- RES069 - Agreed to suspend until the end of August with development resource assigned to re-commence tasks in September. This project now has 'Highest' priority applied to it following approval via internal IS Applications approval process.
- RIS003 - PURE 5.12.1-4 has been deployed via DEV and TEST environments and LIVE Scheduled for 20th August. Risk associated with taking a .1 release could introduce bugs not normally seen within a .4 release however this version required to allow RES069 activities to recommence
- RIS004 - Worktribe v2.5 now in DEV and TEST with a LIVE upgrade scheduled for 23rd August - important for this to happen on this date as change freeze is looming
- RIS005 - Ethics Tool procurement completed planning stage, now progressing business requirements, concerns around level of integration required. Original requirement for EASE only however discussions now highlighting integration with Worktribe and EUCLID. Risk to highlight that this will incur higher project costs externally and internally. There may be resource constraints within SSP to accommodate any integration with EUCLID to be made aware of.
As discussed at the last Programme review meeting, due to IS Applications 3 year planning budgets still to be confirmed, no additional funding being made available via GASP or L&UC there will be constraints on budgets for 18/19. It is also important to note that the programme has an allocated Project Manager whose contract expires end of September so budget requires to be found to continue with this resource.
It was agreed that the programme should be marked as RED until further clarity was given on what planning proposals have been confirmed and where additional resource funding can be found by RIS Programme Owner.
