Commentary

During May, work progressed across the programme, with planning for both USG012 ThankQ Infrastructure Upgrade and USG013 Clearing 2019 in the approval stage.

USG012 ThankQ Infrastructure Upgrade continues to report an AMBER RAG status following delay in completing planning. The timeline is under revision. All other projects are GREEN.

The overall USG Other Programme status is GREEN.

Achievements in Last Period

  • Agreement that Access Group are to perform the application install and data migration. They have been booked to begin on 24/06/2019.
  • UoE to provide and configure the VM servers
  • Project brief re-written for our current plan
  • Project milestones have been replanned and resourcing has been secured.

  • Kick Off Meeting with SRA & Colleges took place in order to discuss potential changes and additional requirements
  • Project Brief drafted

Issues

  • Project Brief final sign off and approval delayed due outstanding discussions with regard to Telephone licenses required, final requirement definition and absences of responsible parties.
  • SharePoint Development might primarily be conductible in June due to the limited availability of the resources from July onwards

Next Steps​

  • Finalisation of requirements, submission and sign off of project brief
  • Kick off for SharePoint Development
  • Regular Meetings to start taking place from Mid June 2019 fortnightly

  • Completed five system demonstrations with suppliers from May 28th - 30th

  • Complete market engagement
  • Write options paper to inform procurement strategy and seek approval from Core Systems Board and other project stakeholders
  • Begin to draft procurement strategy
