Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Commentary

During November, the planning for USG012 ThankQ Upgrade had to be delayed while awaiting confirmation on the procurement decision and timeframe to replace ThankQ. The procurement of a new application has been agreed and the scope of this project will be changed to deliver any essential upgrades to support the current solution for the next two years. 

A new timeline has been agreed for USG011 Legal Services SharePoint Site with delivery planed for March 2019 and closure in April 2019.

The overall USG Other Programme status is GREEN.

Achievements in Last Period

  • Delivery milestone has been missed as the result of SharePoint resource contention from higher priority projects.  A re-planning exercise has been completed, see PICCL 9: Delayed Delivery and Closure, to identify revised delivery and closure milestones.
  • Support for SharePoint work for this the project is contributed by Service Management. There are three days left available in the budget to complete project closure activities.

Achievements in Last Period

  • Draft of NCA for two year extension for access group (ThankQ Supplier) submitted for approval

Issues

  • Development & Alumni have confirmed they will go out to open procurement for replacement to ThankQ starting in January 2019. Impact of this decision is that the scope for USG012 will be reduced to essential infrastructure changes to support the existing version of ThankQ (client server v 8.5) for the next two years. The planning was delayed until this decision was confirmed, see PICCL 1:  Change of planning milestone.
