Commentary

During September, the USG010 project which successfully delivered support for Clearing 2018 was completed and the Completion Report is available to view.

As expected the project to support clearing in session 2018/19 has also been confirmed and is now included in the programme.

USG011 Legal Services SharePoint Site has a RED RAG status because delivery has been delayed due to a resource conflict in the SharePoint service management team. The project schedule is being revised and new milestone dates are still TBC.

The overall USG Other Programme status is GREEN.

Please note that the project RAG status is following the guidelines available on the Project RAG status guidance page.

Achievements

  • User acceptance testing (UAT) has completed and a system demonstration to the stakeholder was positively received.  A number of bug fixes are required and some minor changes are required prior to system migration.  Further testing will be scheduled when these changes are complete. More significant changes will be handled as service requests when live. High level forecast migration dates is mid-November.  This needs to be confirmed when key resource is available week commencing 8th October.
  • Following the project delays,  work to complete the migration to live will continue and this will be funded by the remaining project days and from the service budget. Where necessary the sponsor may be asked for additional funding to complete the tasks.
  • An issue has been opened to reflect this position.

Issues

  • As the result of resource contention within service management for SharePoint development from higher priority projects the project will not complete by the planned date. An issues has been raised to reflect the current situation. A re-plan is underway to determine new delivery milestones.

Next steps

  • Schedule a further round of UAT
