During June, SSG004 (ESS Small Scale Enhancements) and SSG007 (Small Group Functions) projects were closed.
SSG008 (ESS functions for PGT) build has been completed and the function and user acceptance testing signed off. It will go live as planned on 8th July. There is a planned post go-live deployment beginning of October with prioritised enhancements.
SSG009 (ESS architecture review): the reports are progressing for the first 3 meetings the project team had to review the current architecture of the Personal Tutor System, the St Andrews assessment build application and the School of Physics in-year assessment system. A last meeting is planned for end of July to review the last deliverable.
SSG010 (ESS Small Enhancements) is at build stage, but as it has been de-scoped, it is proposed to close this project and deliver the remaining enhancement as part of SSG008 beginning of October.
Resources Update
SSG010 Small Enhancement project has been descoped and the days left have been moved to SSG008 post go live project to be done in 12/13 and 13/14.

AP23-012 Training Records for Research Legislation Compliance Planning August 2013 Delivery Uncertain, possibly December 2013 RAG Status GREEN | Plan Biological Services have requested that this project be deferred to the start of the next academic year in August 2013. This project is to be deferred as planned carry-over for 13/14 during the mid-year review in January 2013.
Dependencies This is dependent on the UK Government enacting the legislation to correspond to the European legislation which came into force on 01-Jan-2013. This project cannot start until the UK Government requirements are known. Outcome to be deferred until final decision is made about the ESS funding for 13/14. |
AP23-037 MVM Ringfenced Balance Days Very ImportantPlanning TBC Delivery TBC RAG Status RED | Plan 15d of the remaining 70d balance has been transferred to Research for work on Roslin Mouse Database Migration, leaving 55d. The meeting planned for January with MVM to clarify what is likely to come is now expected to take place in April. The main focus is expected on MI for the rest of this year and there may also be some work assisting with a procurement exercise. Following the meeting it should be possible to identify what is required, and to be able to return this to green. Action remains with the Head of Service Management to schedule the meeting. The RAG remains RED as it's not clear if the remaining scope can be delivered within the remaining budget and timescales, as MI resources are planned for other projects. Dependencies Definition and sign-off of requirements by MVM. Outcome: MVM confirmed that this project will not go ahead. The days have been made available to other programmes. To be withdrawn in July. |
