Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Commentary:

During December, progress were made in SCE014 Creation of a developer community for a College Project Marking Tool with planning reviewed and fully signed off, and a revised schedule for the sprints proposed.

The overall status of the SCE programme is GREEN.

Project Info Programme Manager's Commentary

The following proposals were put forward in 2017/18 and are yet to be resourced and started in 2018/19:

  • Support for College EdWeb code sprint
  • Support for GDPR (50 days)

A new proposal has also been approved in Geosciences to move a database to central infrastructure. (20 days)

CSE has a budget of 150 ring fenced days for 18/19,  29 days have been assigned to the following projects:

81 days are yet to be allocated.

Achievements

  • Planning stage signed off after resubmission to WIS.
  • Planning for follow-on Recommendations Report revised.
  • Requirements analysis completed.
  • Draft scope and sprint schedule drawn up taking into account final set of requirements and resource availability. 

Issues

  • Number of sprints and their schedule to be revised once the agreed development scope has been signed off.

Next Steps

  • Recommendations Report initial engagement to be undertaken.
  • Scope of development and sprint content to be agreed across the schools within the CSCE
  • Revised development sprint schedule agreed.
  • Initial development sprint commenced.
