Commentary:
The CSCE Programme / Portfolio has a budget of 211 days for 2016/17 and starts with two projects ongoing:
SCE010 Athena Swan Reporting Improvements: This project is close to completion with an estimate of 4 days left of work. Twelve days had been agreed for in the 16/17 budget. This project is RED due to delay in getting the required configuration applied by the business partner which should get resolved this month.
SCEP02 Virtual Edinburgh PM consultancy and Support: This project provides PM consultancy to the Edinburgh CityScope programme of works and used 7 days of its 50 days allocation in the 16/17 budget. The Innovation project API017 Edinburgh CityScope Foundations constitutes the second phase of this programme and will end in February 2017. The project is actively working on securing funding for the following phases. The project status is GREEN.
Please note that the project RAG status is following the revised guidelines: A one-page summary of the IS RAG status indicators is available on this page.
Of interest:
Two proposals were submitted to the Digital Transformation Fund that, if funded, will be of interest to CSCE: Enterprise APIs and EdWeb Collaborative Development Framework. We also note that a roadmap for deploying Grouper as a centrallu supported servcie is under consideration.

A request for a trial of an online assessment application: ExamOnline from Intelligent Assessment Technologies (http://www.intelligentassessment.com/) has been discussed with David Cavanagh. The school of Biology hopes for a trial in November 2016. Support from ISG (LTW & Apps) is thought to run the trial, with view of establishing ExamOnline as a centrally supported serviec if the trial is successful. This would help the school of Biology with providing better assessment and feedback. An area noted for improvement in the NSS, and therefore of strategic importance. |
