Scheduling – Developments
Progress this Month
Deployment Plan created and Stage 1 delivered
Target: Quick release and resource to handle support issues.
Decision: Maintenance/Warranty release. The project stays open after the release schedule to support any data issues. Additionally, the release is done in stages to simplify sign off.
Stage 1
•Safe deployment to Live. 31st October. •No push or delete data to Media Hopper Replay (MHR) Live. •Pull of data from Timetabling performance tested. Negligible results. •Student Systems signed off our business process and code to pull of course data. •Data flowed into the system as expected.
Activities next month
Stage 2
•Open to users after checks. 08th Nov onwards. •Confirm no further build changes are required. •Power BI connection for reporting. •Training materials in place. •Support pages •Video •Drop-in sessions.
Stage 3 •Push and delete actions to MHR Live. •Although tested we want to test this multiple times as it is high risk. •To be completed bt 30th November. •Maintenance/Warranty period takes us beyond the end of Semester 1 teaching. •CO/CSs can still register their opt-out requests.
MLE004 Project closure in December.
