Programme Commentary

The LMP008 project is progressing well with the Implementation activities in an advanced stage, preparing cutover activities in readiness for Go-Live in May. Overall programme budget has been reviewed and funding position resolved as discussed with Programme Owner.

Achievements in Last Period

  • Contract Award Notice has been issued to Public Contracts Scotland advising open tender process now complete
  • Preparation for project board meeting on 27th April
  • Further Workflow workshops held to refine 'to be ' processes, a policy review meeting is being held also on 1st May
  • Full files for Academic Department and Course information are now loaded onto Sandbox
  • Reading List (including) section data has been uploaded successfully into Sandbox (750 lists), quality of data good reducing amount of manual tidy originally anticipated and with no costs implications as previously indicated
  • Full Reading List load for Production being uploaded by supplier on 30th April as part of cut-over activities
  • Key integration activities for Blackboard and Moodle completed on Production
  • Training sessions on-going for both Leganto and Alma, training plan updated
  • Communications via a number of formats and touch points have been issued out this month

Issues

  • Supplier to provide updates on 3 items from development roadmap but these are not considered showstoppers from a go-live project perspective
  • Review SAML authentication (staff0 for Leganto on Alma

Next Steps

  • Verification of production load data, academic department, course code and reading list
  • User Acceptance testing including Learn and Moodle
  • Testing of Authentication to Leganto
  • Go-live activities for 11th May
  • Training for Course Organisers and Preparation of lists for rollout commencing 5th June
  • Update of URL for service

The project status is now GREEN
