LCI037 Steps Through Time

Achievements
- A formal response from Planning was received in March, confirming that no planning consent is required for the project.
- An initial short list of New College Library Special Collections items has been identified. Work has also begun on drafting dates to be included in the timeline.
Issues
- The project start has been slightly delayed because of the wait to hear from Planning, however the design studio identified as the contractor for the work has confirmed that the revised schedule is still acceptable for them.
Next steps
- Mon 9 April : meeting to form a project steering group including UG and PG student representatives. This group will have a coordinating role and select the dates for the timeline. They will make the final editorial decisions on which images to use on the panels.
- Mon 23 April-Wed 25 April : Steps Through Time event. Students will be invited to come to a display of New College Library Special Collections, held over three days . They will be invited to vote on the item from each century which they would choose to have displayed as a panel image. These votes will be collated to help us prioritise which images to include.
- May : Final selection of images and timeline dates
- May : Meet with the designer to confirm design specifications and word limits for text
- May : Process any photography required
