ISI041 Vote100 Exhibition

Project Manager Anne-Marie Scott

Achievements

  • The project is well underway with an exhibition opening date of 29 November now confirmed.
  • The EdWeb sub-site that will host the digital exhibition has been built and content is being added.
  • The Histropedia timeline being built by an external consultant is nearly complete. It has been tested on the smart table and some finessing of the table set up is still ongoing.
  • New display case was ordered in September. Vinyls and label printing is being finalised and sent out for print.
  • Wikipedia editathon being scheduled for 30 November 2018.

  • Next deadline is all content to be finalised for 20 November ready for final QA checks.

LCI043 Undergraduate Data Management Skills Training

Project Manager Bob Sanders

Achievements

  • Submitted job specification to the Careers Service to advertise post for PhD student to develop and deliver training and accompanying materials for the project. The job is currently live on MyCareersHub (https://mycareerhub.ed.ac.uk/students/jobs/detail/557475 , closing date 11th Nov).

Issues

  • The project is currently slightly behind the original schedule due to the proposal not taking into account the time involved in recruiting PhD intern, plus the time taken to understand and prepare for documentation for the recruitment process.

Next Steps

  • Select candidate (shortlisting, interviews and selection process).

  • Induction and supervision of PhD intern.

  • Intern to begin engagement with stakeholders & evaluate/update existing RDM resources.

  • Delivery of undergraduate training sessions expected to start in Jan 2019.

Budgeting Information

  • No costs yet (paid PhD internship post to be begin Nov-Dec).

  • Contacted Interactive Content team to follow up on creation of webpage architecture.
  • Resumed work on Playful Strategy draft document
  • Set milestones and deadline dates for actions.
