The project effort for this year is 50 days, but this is a multi-year project over three years.

This project will start in June, if the recommendations are accepted by management.

Achievements in Last Period

• Puppet configuration tools have been used to deploy an enhanced pilot Python development environment (Release 3 Milestone), based on Dev Services feedback.
• PM and Senior Supplier have agreed with project Sponsor of TEL022 that the tools will be used to deploy the platform for the upgrade project.

Issues

• Ensuring that the tools and processes are fit for purpose for deploying key services. PM and Senior Supplier have arranged a review meeting for w/c 04/05/15 to ensure that ITI and IS Apps are in agreement that the tools and processes are ready to proceed with delivering the platform for TEL022 Moodle Upgrade.
• Ensuring that timelines and resource availability are adjusted to align with TEL022 milestones. A new milestone has been added for this release.

Next Steps

• The next release will be to support provision of the platform for TEL022 Moodle Upgrade
• Review of milestones, project deliverables, and project timescale.

• Test upgrade of Bamboo complete
• Testing of Bamboo upgrade complete and successful.
• Bamboo TAD moved to new template and updated and reviewed.
• Build/Acceptance sign off for Bamboo complete.
• Dev upgrade of Bamboo complete.
• Testing of dev Jira complete and successful.
• Jira TAD moved to new template and updated and reviewed.
• Build sign off for Jira complete.
• Work on script change required for licensing issue with Jira carried out. It was not possible to apply similar fix that had been applied to Confluence (the same Java call not available in Jira). No further development will be carried out within this project. Bill will contact Atlassian support to see if there is another Java call that could be referenced.

Issues

• The Bamboo Build/Acceptance and Deployment milestones were impacted by a service issue with the production Bamboo server, integration2.is. The problem with the disk has now been resolved but this impacted on Technology Managements availability and therefore the sign off of test. Build/Acceptance sign off now achieved and a new date for the live migration has been scheduled.
