Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update
After the estimate for ITS103 Core technology Updates was increased substantially, the remaining project for this year was withdrawn, ten additional days were added to the programme budget, and the scope of the ITS103 reduced to allow the programme to deliver the key deliverables for the project whilst balancing the budget.
The programme effort estimated is currently 15 days over the budget, almost all of this from PCode overspend. However, the six days estimate for PCode for the rest of the year will decrease, given only one project remains and the projects for next year have now been confirmed.
There are a number of actions from the INF104 for the programme to be aware of. These are listed in a dedicated page. https://www.projects.ed.ac.uk/programmepage/30193

Issues
Next Steps
Programme Manager's Commentary Morna has taken the project and reset it to realistic and achievable budget, timeline and deliverables, with a mixture of decent estimation, budget increase, descoping, review of team activities, and consultation with business contacts. Programme Owner and Programme Manager have supported her with programme changes re. withdrawal of projects, descope and budget increase for the project, but this has been done having confidence in Morna's management of the project.

AP34-039 Development Tool Upgrades | Withdrawn on 30/8/13. https://www.projects.ed.ac.uk/planning/project/141 This was due to impact on programme budget from carry over 12/13 projects. However, we hope to be able to bring the project back into the 13/14 programme if budget, priority and new estimates allow.
The Division has built up reliance on a number of key products over the years to assist in project and service delivery. This project would apply relevant upgrades to the following products: JIRA JIRA has fallen a few version behind latest version, so it may be this upgrade is required. Whether a proejct is required remain to be re-assessed.
Greenhopper This is a small task to be done under APP004
Bamboo This is a small task that should be covered by current Support arrangements.

| AP34-041 Business Data Recovery and Storage Implementation | Report by Maurice Franceschi
This project has been withdrawn, April 2014. https://www.projects.ed.ac.uk/planning/project/140 This proposal will implement the findings of the review of data recovery and storage requirements for IS Applications as part of a wider review by ITI. The review will have outlined the requirements for storage of business data for disaster recovery/backup, archival and replication purposes. The necessary technical infrastructure will have been provisioned during 12/13 period as a result of the review and this proposal will bring the Applications service under the revised process and facilities. Tony Weir will be developing the brief. The work is temporarily on hold due to conflicts with other priority work, but Tony has confirmed that it will happen in first half of 2014, and that it will be a procurement followed by an installation. The IS Apps effort involved for each project needs re-estimated. Currently this is a Small budget proposal. The project has been withdrawn as there has been no progress from ITI, there is less time to complete the project in the current year, and there is now no budget available due to the increase in the ITS103 budget.
