Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

During July

  • Project activity continues to be focused on the two active projects and has resulted in 
    • The move towards purchasing a cloud based solution for a new Fire Management System
    • The deployment of the COSHH updates into the live production environment
  • With regards the potential projects for 2019-2o
    • The Cardinus upgrade project is scheduled to commence in August and a project manager has been assigned 
    • Clarification of funding is still awaited with regards to 
      • eOPAS Upgrade 
      • Upgrades to AIR and RETAIN  (although clarification is still being sought regarding ColdFusion strategy)

 Whilst this project has been declared as part of the annual planning process  for 2018-19, it has been decided to defer this project to 2019-20.

Dependencies:

- will require considerable input from the Health and safety teams

- will require input from IS Applications Development Technology , Development and IS Applications Production Management

Achievements this Period

  • The Business took an option to complete a Non-Competitive Agreement (NCA) and have identified a Supplier / have agreed to procure a solution.
  • IS / The Project Team continue to work with H&S on a best efforts basis.

  • In conjunction with the NCA, an attempt was made to enable a full evaluation of the proposed solution using a slimmed down question set whereby:

    • A request was made regarding a technical specification to enable the infrastructure components to be reviewed  (not received)
    • A request was made regarding an SLA to enable post implementation support to be reviewed (not received)
    • The Information Security questions were submitted to ensure compliance regarding security and data protection (received 31st July p.m.)

Next Steps

  • IS will retrospectively review the slimmed down version of the IS Procurement Question set, focusing on Information Security, in order to highlight any potential risks to the Business.
