Continuous Service Improvement APIs

Achievements in Last Period

• Pure API
  • Concerns regarding user expectations resolved.  Scope confirmed, API provides a simple UUN <-> UUID lookup.
  • Pure API delivered to WSO2.
• Unidesk API
  • Promoted to formal Dev environment.  Errors regarding working in Dev corrected and API now working as expected.
  • Request raised to open Test firewall to allow external testing.
• Person ID resolver API for EDW
  • Resolution work planned and should be completed.
  • EDW person ID API delivered to WSO2

Issues

• With UniDesk upgrade on the horizon should we continue to develop the present API.  This needs to be confirmed as still worthwhile.

Next Steps

• PURE API 

  • Completion of testing within WSO2 and signed off.

• Unidesk API

  • Test firewall opened for external access.

  • Promote to Test and complete initial test process prior to commencing external test phase.

  • Liaise with Service Team regarding progression through internal Test and prep for external testing.

• Person ID resolver API for EDW

  • Completion of testing within WSO2 and signed off.

• Production WS02 available holding 2 API's

• Final review of outstanding tasks to confirm deliverable met

Achievements in Last Period

• Complete WP 6.1 implement security scanning - ZAP - design following review feedback.
• Complete WP 6.2 implement security scanning dependency check  - design following review feedback.
• D6 workstream completed 
• Work continuing on WP 8 API Standards.

Issues

• Implications of WSO2 moving to the cloud have yet to be fully incorporated into the project.

Next Steps

• Work on WP 7.1 and 7.2 Centralised Logging to be completed.  Higher priority work delaying completion of this task at present
• D6 deliverables to be logged prior to sign off.
• WP 6.1 and 6.2 to be raised at Operational Guidance Group for review.  
• Work continuing on WP 8 API Standards.

Achievements in Last Period

• Events Attendance system promoted from Test to Live.  Used at ISG All Staff event on 3/10/2019.
• Raise PICCL to schedule tasks for project closure on 25/10/2019.
• Review of outstanding tasks to identify those being picked up by Service Delivery and those outstanding. 
• Work commenced to close project in November. 

Issues

• Existing milestones need updated in response to project review.  Present plan is to review deliverables and their relevance in light of the evolution of the project.  Project will be undertake a controlled closure with outstanding tasks being picked up by the next tranche of the programme.

Next Steps

• Review outstanding tasks.  If still relevant must be addressed prior to closure.
• Closure Report.
