Achievements in Last Period

• Considered the various options for meeting DR/resilience requirements
• Kubernetes clusters created in DEV, TEST and LIVE environments
• First draft of API User Journey workshop outputs circulated
• Held technical calls with WSO2 supplier to review architecture and seek advice

Issues

• The Build milestone has not been met due to the DR/resilience issue, as detailed below.  As a result, the Time RAG has been marked as AMBER this month as this is likely to impact the overall project timeline. 
• DR/resilience position remains unresolved - cannot use the block replicated method.  Options to resolve this have been considered and will be documented for a decision by the Sponsorship group, Production Management and Service Management
• No decision made on which existing API is to be used first in WSO2.  The sponsor is discussing this with the Business Lead and will confirm.

Next Steps

• Make decision on DR/resilience solution and if feasible, configure in WSO2
• Decide on existing API to be used in WSO2
• Transform API User Journey workshop outputs into API roles, responsibilities and processes

Achievements in Last Period

• Secured resources in Software Development for Python API templates and Security Scanning
• Shared Flask platform (for Python APIs) recommendation document with wider project team

Issues

• Python APIs build estimate has increased significantly and cannot be absorbed within the existing project budget.  Additional budget will be sought through the sponsorship group.  As a result, the Cost RAG has been shown as RED this month.

• The bookings for Python APIs build and Security Scanning have been re-assigned to be completed later in the academic year.  The Python work is significant and will be completed in five stages from March to July.  As a result, the Time RAG has been shown as RED this month.  Provided this is seen as agreeable by project stakeholders, the Time RAG can revert to GREEN next month.

• Potential additional scope to bring in security deliverables from DTI029 into DTI028 – to be confirmed.  As a result, the Scope RAG has been shown as AMBER this month

Next Steps

• Review project budget requirements
• Python API build commences
• Work continuation on API standards
• Work continuation on centralised logging

Further progress on this project has been difficult to achieve this month due to other demands on Service Leads time.

As a result the new project milestones have not been determined.

• Lack of  resource to manage API pipeline -  being managed by Susan Cooke until post filled on Service Management Team (approx. end Jan)
