Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update
Programme Commentary
The main bits of work done under the COM programme this month are more effort to get a solution to the ongoing bug we have with SOA and the instigation of the Office 365 Security Hardening project. Our COM043 team have been working with Oracle and trying a few suggested solutions, but we are not yet out of the woods. Another possible resolution has been put forward by Oracle and this is now to be tested over the next week by our colleagues working on this. The patience and thoroughness going into solving this problem is much appreciated.
COM051 (Office 365 Security) has started in earnest with the PM putting together the project brief and working out, with input from Service Management and others, what needs to go into the project scope and how it can all be planned. Planning sign-off is expected in early October.
COM045 continues to be suspended, with a go/no-go decision about removing it from suspension (because of its dependency on the success of the SOA project) expected later this month.
Finally, the C-Host Infrastructure Replacement project (COM052) is expected to start this month.
