Background

The eTime application was created, under project FIN072, to meet two distinct needs:

  •  to meet legislative compliance requirements for researchers working on EU funded research grants
  •  to replace an existing, labour-intensive, paper-based process for submitting and approving timeshets for Hours to be Notified staff

1.  UAT Planning

    1.1  Feedback management

1.  Batch 1 slide-show:

Ross presented a series of slides of the batch 1 deliverables, i.e. the dual time recording functionality, and the new "research report browser" role.

It was agreed that there should be a clearer separation of the two lists, e.g. a dividing line, and specific HTBN & Research headers.

2.  UAT planning:

The target release date for batch 1 UAT testing is Monday 10th June.

Project Management

After this week, Mairi has only 2.5 days effort over 5 days elapsed to complete the Design.  This effort is spread out over three weeks, due to a training course and annual leave.  The fourth week will also be lost, as Mairi will be off-site on another project.  The Build is due to start on 27th May.

Follow-up on actions from last meeting:

      Requirement 1.1  Dual Time Recording

Liz has confirmed her agreement with the approach suggested for requirement 1.1

Steven proposed Martha Robinson to UAT test as a dual time recorder.

The stakeholder group agreed that around 5 dual time recorders should be included in UAT testing.

Requirement 1.1  Dual Time Recording

Mairi showed sample screenshots for “dual time recorders” (users who are both HTBN and Research) and their approvers.

The User Dashboard will display two separate sections, with HTBN information displayed above Research.

In the Timesheet List, the Multiplied hours column applies only to HTBN tasks, so this column will show as a dash for Research time sheets.

1.3  Batch Processing

Gordon has sent Mairi’s Batch Process slideshow to Accommodation Services, and plans to send it to other potential Batch users for review.

1.7  UUN consolidation

Mairi and Andrew have discussed and agreed her proposal for this.

On selecting to transfer the data from one UUN to the other, a pop-up note will display, to warn that this action cannot be undone.

1.8.   Contracted hours warning

Draft PowerPoint presentation for batch processing.

1.  Business Analysis stage:

The milestone sign-off for the Business Requirements was confirmed.

Stakeholders are reminded to provide detailed test plans and acceptance criteria for the business-area-specific test plans that are linked within the draft UAT Test Plan

1.  Business Requirements

Ahead of the meeting, the "Working Copy" of Business Requirements was issued to the stakeholder group, for review and prioritisation.
