Section One: Programme Commentary, RAG and Resources Update

Commentary

During December, only small amount of effort was spent on projects this month. The priority for USG011 Legal Services SharePoint Site was  raised to high. This will help ensuring that the SharePoint resources remains allocated to this project and allow completion of the work. The planning for USG012 ThankQ Upgrade is underway and expected to complete next month.

The overall USG Other Programme status is GREEN.

Please note that the project RAG status is following the guidelines available on the Project RAG status guidance page.

Achievements

  • Delivery milestone has been missed again as the result of SharePoint resource contention from higher priority projects.   A re-planning exercise has been completed identifying revised delivery and closure milestones.

  • The USG Others Programme Owner requested for the priority of this project to be raised at the December programme meeting on  18 Dec 2018. While the business has a workaround for this, the delay in delivering the new system has created a lot of pain and extra effort which the business has now escalated to the programme owner. It is more urgent that the new process be put in place.  While they accept the latest milestone dates, they do not want these to slip any further.

  • As the result of these changes the project priority has been changed from NORMAL to HIGH.

  • There is no impact to budget at this time.  Funding for the project is sourced from Sharepoint Service Management. There are three days available in the project to complete project closure activities.  SharePoint resources will not be booking time to Asta.
