Meeting note from HMRC call (24th July)

UoE Attendees – Terry Fox, Gordon Forbes, Kathy Chappell and Nikki Stuart

HRMC – Sam French, Linda Patchett

Oracle – Liz Wilson

HRMC are not willing to schedule a revised for submission in September at the moment, but the University is not currently able to provide assurances that any dates in August can be met. This is due to the proximity of these dates and the need for a Consultant to review our setup for any further configuration changes. The University was not in a position to schedule the consultant until the pay frequency issue was resolved by Oracle (bug fix provided 17/07). HMRC confirmed that there is no penalty for missing submission dates but they need agreed dates so they are able to carefully manage the volume of submissions. It has been agreed that a further call will be arranged with HMRC to agree revised dates following the consultant’s visit.

In addition to the above we asked Oracle to confirm that no further RTI patches were

Actions;

  •        Gordon to arrange a site visit from the consultant  - Gordon agreed site visit on 12th August
  •        Gordon to confirm that the patches, etc don’t need to be applied to LIVE before this visit, TEST is a clone from LIVE from early July and all updates are in TEST (Current scheduled patches go LIVE on Aug 5th, so before consultant visit)
  •        FIS/Payroll to replicate any RTI configuration, currently on DEV, on TEST before site visit
  •       IS Apps to apply 2 x RTI patches, pay frequency bug fix and pensioners/HTBN assignment flag API to LIVE on 5th August (downtime agreed with all service owners). If this is required before site visit then this may need to be rescheduled. (date ok)
  •       IS Apps to provide all payroll staff with access to the RTI extra information type screen to allow manual data updates
  •      Payroll to manually update records as required in LIVE
  •      Kathy to arrange follow on HMRC call
  •      Oracle to confirm if any further RTI patches are expected (athough no patch was expected, a patch arrived 31st July - being investigated 1 Aug to see how much and if necessary now)
