Background

This project will deliver externally-driven enhancements to the EUCLID system for SACS

The project will be delivered in Phases, Phases may be added as new external statutory requirements are identified.

Phase 1 - Vulnerable Adults ( removed as of 16-Aug-2012)

Phase 2 - tbc

The size and make-up of these packages of work will be controlled by the SACS business process improvement team in consultation with the business, including Academic Registry and the Schools and Colleges.

Though managed as a series of project phases (work packages) - this is effectively a SITS configuration service delivered by IS Apps to SACS Academic Registry.

Scope, Objectives and Deliverables

The potential scope of this project will include work on any area of systems that SACS has responsibility for. For example, this can range from a specific area in EUCLID, user management in BOXI or EUGEX changes.

Objectives
1	To create packages of work to be dealt with as phases and for these to be prioritised
2	To agree a solution for each of Phase of this project.
3	To build, test and deliver a solution to the each phase within the approved budget.

Deliverables
1	Business Requirements Document produced for each phase describing the business requirements
2	System Design Specification documenting the technical solution for the phase
3	Configuration for the solution for the phase
4	Testing of the solution for the phase
3	Delivery of the solution for the phase within the approved budget.

Priority and Funding

This project is Compliance. Project propsal = 53 IS Apps days effort in 12/13 (including any carry-over into 12/13 from STU218) .

Success Criteria

Each phase will have acceptance criteria built into the functional testing and once the phase has passed testing and has been implemented into live, then the phase will be agreed to be sucesfully completed.

Benefits

The benefit will be the delivery of a solution to new external requirements, there is no cost benefit analysis being carried out, although the SACS prioritises the work in consultation with the end users and these priorities are ratified by the SACS Governance Board.

Resources, Skills and Costs

The resources and skills required will be dependent on the content of the phases of the project. The main areas are expected to be:

An IS-APPS an initial budget of 53 days has been allocated to cover this compliance work.

Any increase in budget of SAC003 will be balanced by a reduction in the budget for SAC004 - ie. from a fixed pool of 210 days

Project Impacts and Dependencies

SAC003 is an independent project, although there is the potential for a phase to impact or be dependent on other projects. These impacts/dependencies will be included in the BRD for the phase.

SAC003 deliverables will be impacted by the SAC011 double upgrade project- during upgrades of EUCLID DEV , TEST and LIVE - which will be unavailable for periods of time from Nov 2012 to March 2013 , and additionally there will be a freeze on config changes immediately after each upgrade to allow integration testing to progress (with minimal churn due to config changes)
