Impact and Dependencies

The solution provided by this project will allow future projects to adopt more process driven deployments resulting in the benefits described in the benefits section. The solution will integrate with existing processes and procedures but may in some cases allow Applications Division to adapt out existing techniques and improve them to encourage greater repeatability and accuracy in our system builds.

The tools will demand that this dicipline is maintained not only in Development but also in Production where systems are also upgraded and patched. This will necessitate involvement from TechMan and possibly Apps Man

This project will require that colleagues in Unix and Architecture teams assist in the deployment of the service and agree the terms of how it should be employed in the infrastructure.
