Background

The Procurement and Printing Services ColdFusion applications now need to be migrated and upgraded to the latest version. The infrastructure supportingColdfusion v9 is at end-of-life in July 2016 & will no longer be supported by the supplier so there is a need to migrate applications to a more recent and supported version of Coldfusion.

The project will also take opportunity to apply automated deployment via the Bamboo service so that both it and future projects can benefit from simplified releases to Dev, Test and Live environments.

Work/Task Breakdown

For each of the applications to be migrated the following tasks will need to be undertaken:_

  • Set up new Dev/Test/Live CF11 environments
  • Set-up/modify Bamboo automated deployment
  • Deploy application
  • Integration testing
  • UAT
  • Updates to technical & support documentation
  • Live switch-over
